Maintenance in Byron Bay & the Northern Rivers

A dedicated maintenance team, separate from the build crew, keeping gardens looking like they did on handover day. Hedging, pruning, feeding and the seasonal jobs most people forget until the garden tells them.

What keeps a garden new

A rainforest terrace looks like this because someone is on it every few weeks. Left alone for a season the canopy closes, the paving greens over and the planting loses its shape. Maintenance is not tidying, it is the thing that protects what the build cost.

How we work

Subtropical gardens do not stand still. Growth that looks generous in March is a problem by June, and the difference between a garden that matures and a garden that closes in is whoever is pruning it and when.

We run regular visits across Byron Bay, Suffolk Park, Bangalow, Lennox Head, Brunswick Heads, Ballina and the wider Northern Rivers on a schedule that suits the garden rather than the calendar: more often through the growing season, less through winter. Clients who built with us make up most of the round, but we take on gardens we did not build where the bones are good.

Questions we get asked

How often should a Byron Bay garden be maintained?
Through the growing season, roughly every two to three weeks for a garden with hedging and lawn. Through winter, monthly is usually enough. Gardens with a lot of screening or anything trained need the tighter interval, because a hedge that gets away takes a season to bring back.
Do you maintain gardens you did not build?
Yes, where the bones are good. We will walk the garden first and tell you honestly if it needs remedial work before a maintenance schedule makes sense. Putting a fortnightly visit on a garden with a drainage problem is spending money on a symptom.
Is the maintenance schedule contracted?
It is an ongoing arrangement rather than a lock in. The round does fill up, particularly heading into spring, so it is worth asking early if you want a regular slot.
